Kenneth B. BrownHis City of Philadelphia Prison System career path began in 1975, upon his appointment as a Correctional Officer. He was promoted to Correctional Sergeant in 1980, Lieutenant in 1984, and Captain in 1989, and to the position of Deputy Warden in 2002. The culmination of his illustrative career was recognized and demonstrated by his selection to serve as the fourth Warden of RCF. Mr. Brown received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology from LaSalle University, and an Associate in Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Community College of Philadelphia. Mr. Brown has dedicated over 35 years of Military Service to the United States of America, and currently holds the Rank of Master Sergeant in the U.S. Air force National Guard, since 1980. He has received numerous awards and honors including the Air Force Commendation Medal in 2002, the Air Force Achievement Medal (First Oak Leaf Cluster) for Outstanding Achievement in 2001, and he was cited as the Correctional Employee of the year in 1998, while serving as Correctional Captain. Warden Brown serves as an active member of the Warden Association, and the National Blacks in Criminal Justice. He is an ordained deacon at the 59TH street Baptist Church in Philadelphia, Pa.
