Darryl W. Anderson

Warden, House of Corrections

 

Darryl Anderson attended the Urban League Leadership Institute, John Reid College, Philadelphia Community College and Temple University.

 

Beginning his career with the Philadelphia Prison System in 1973, Darryl Anderson has been assigned to the Detention Center, Holmesburg Prison, Internal Affairs Division, Philadelphia Industrial Correctional Center, Staff Deployment and Alternative and Special Detention.  Darryl Anderson as a Lieutenant was a Special Assistant to the Commissioner of Prisons from November – 1989 to May – 1993 and the first Director of Staff Deployment assigned June – 1996 to August – 2004.

 

Warden Anderson is President of the local Chapter Pennsylvania's National Association of Blacks in Criminal Justice and a member of the American Jail Association, Pennsylvania Prison Wardens Association and a member of the American Correctional Association he's also President of the Men's Association and of the Board of Trustees of Advocate St. Stephen's United Methodist Church.
