Department-Only promotional exams are open only to current Philadelphia Civil Service employees who work in the specific department, who have successfully passed their 6-month probationary period, and who have a performance rating of satisfactory or better.

Exams listed with continuous for their application deadline have no closing date.

The Office of Human Resources will introduce a new on-line application system effective, August 23, 2010. Due to this, all applicants will be required to create a new profile to apply for civil service examinations.
