Summer is a great time to explore new opportunities, and the City of Philadelphia’s Office of Human Resources (OHR) is bringing career resources directly into communities across the city throughout June.

From neighborhood resource fairs and workforce development events to Civil Service Office Hours at Free Library locations, OHR staff will be available to help residents learn about City careers, navigate the hiring process, and connect with opportunities in public service.

Whether you’re looking for your first job, planning a career change, or seeking a new way to serve your community, we’re here to help.

Connect with OHR in your neighborhood

Throughout the month, OHR representatives will attend events across Philadelphia to help residents:

  • Explore current City job opportunities
  • Learn how the civil service hiring process works
  • Receive assistance with job applications
  • Discover career paths across City departments
  • Learn about employee benefits and workplace resources

These events provide an opportunity to connect directly with City staff and get answers to your questions about working for Philadelphia.

Meet the Hiring Bus

The Hiring Bus is a mobile recruitment center designed to make City employment more accessible.

Equipped with laptops, internet access, and staffed by HR professionals, the Hiring Bus allows residents to:

  • Search open City positions
  • Apply for jobs on-site
