
The Philadelphia Department of Public Health collects and/or analyzes a variety of data to describe the health of Philadelphia’s residents and its communities. These reports, slide shows, and data tables can help the public see what progress is being made through our efforts and the efforts of our public health partners.

To request additional data, please complete all sections of the data request form and email the Director of Policy and Planning. Data can be provided permitting that time and resources are available. Not all requests can be met, including those that require extensive data processing.
We produce an annual vital statistics report, including data on births and deaths for Philadelphia residents.
We produce a variety of reports about the health of Philadelphia and its residents.
These slide shows review a variety of public health issues and programs. Some have been presented during the City's PhillyStat sessions, a management tool used by Mayor Nutter to deliver services that are smarter, faster, better, more accountable, and data-driven.
Department of Public Health Institutional Review Board (IRB)
The IRB reviews all research proposals involving persons receiving services directly from or funded by/through the Department of Public Health, the Department of Behavioral Health, the Department of Finance, and the Office of Risk Management. The IRB also reviews proposals involving data from the Medical Examiner's Office as well as proposals submitted with a request for review by other City departments.
Health Commissioner’s Office Review Committee
This committee reviews all research proposals to ensure that research involving PDPH data, staff or clients supports the mission of the Department.
