- Join an existing community garden. Find one on the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society’s map
- Use institutional land. Ask schools, hospitals, churches, businesses, parks, and recreation centers in your neighborhood if they have any land they are willing to lend for growing food.
- Lease or buy land from the City of Philadelphia. Both the The Redevelopment Authority of the City of Philadelphia lists properties it owns here, and the City of Philadelphia Department of Public Property lists properties it owns here. If you are interested in growing food on City-owned land, please contact Sarah Wu at email@example.com or 215-686-3649.
