September 2017 - Amended Regulations
On September 8, 2017, the Water, Sewer and Stormwater Rate Board held a public hearing on the amendments to the existing Regulations of the Board proposed by the Board on August 3, 2017. These Amendments (refiled) on September 11, 2017, will become effective ten days later which is September 21, 2017.
On October 12, 2016, the Philadelphia Water Department filed the formal notice of proposed change in stormwater rates for community gardens with the Department of Records. Please note all filing materials have remained the same as the September 12th, 2016 advance filing.
The Philadelphia Water, Sewer. and Stormwater Rate Board is an independent rate-making body responsible for fixing and regulating rates and charges for water and sewer services.
June 2016 - Rates Determined for Fiscal Years 2017 and 2018
The Philadelphia Water, Sewer and Stormwater Rate Board has finished the rate proceeding to determine rates for fiscal years 2017 and 2018.
The Philadelphia Water, Sewer and Storm Water Rate Board, at its meeting on June 6, 2016, adopted a final decision on proposed changes in rates and charges (Rate Determination) in response to the Application of the Philadelphia Water Department for Increased Rates and Charges (FY 2017-2018). The Water Department’s revised rates and charges, effective July 1, 2016, and incorporating the new rates and charges and other issues included in the Rate Board’s Rate Determination, are set forth below. As of the effective date set forth above, these rates and charges supersede the rates and charges in Chapter 3 of the Water Department’s regulations.
