James Logan Elementary School was designated a City of Philadelphia community school in 2016.
After extensive outreach and feedback collection led by the community school coordinator and assisted by the community school committee, the following priorities were identified for the school.
Top priorities
- Increase social and emotional health resources (including mental and behavioral health services) for students
- Increase access to healthy food
- Increase extra-curricular activities for students, including after-care for younger students
Secondary priorities
- Improve and increase opportunities for physical activity
- Connect families to resources and increase family engagement with the school
- Ensure student safety
