Mayor’s Opioid Task Force Report and Recommendations

This report describes a public health crisis in Philadelphia caused by prescription and illicit opioids.  There are high and increasing rates of opioid use disorder and overdose death.  This has devastating personal, family, and societal consequences. The Mayor’s Task Force to Combat the Opioid Epidemic considered the causes of this crisis. They also considered potential solutions and made recommendations. This is just one way the City is combating the opioid epidemic.
