Creating a more inclusive and equitable city

The City of Philadelphia is celebrating the work and contributions of the City’s advisory commissions in lifting the voices of our diverse communities in Philadelphia. Philadelphia’s nine advisory commissions advance the City’s goals of increasing equity and inclusion for all of its citizens. Through advocacy and engagement programs, the Commissions elevate the voices of those who are often systematically excluded from government policy.

The commissions include the Mayor’s Commission on African American Males; Commission on African & Caribbean Immigrant Affairs; Commission on Asian Pacific American Affairs; Commission on Faith-Based and Interfaith Affairs; Commission on LGBT Affairs; Commission on People with Disabilities; Millennial Advisory Committee; Philadelphia Commission for Women; and Philadelphia Youth Commission.

Learn more about the Commissions and hear from the Commission Chairs on their highlights from the Kenney Administration and their hopes for the future, below.
