As part of ongoing efforts to make sure everyone has access to Covid-19 vaccines, we are hosting a Deaf Vaccination Day for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community at Esperanza Community Vaccination Center (ECVC) on Saturday, May 1st from 9 AM to 4 PM.

The vaccination site will provide the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community with ASL and Deaf interpreters as well as a Spanish-speaking Deaf interpreter. There will be an assisted check-in area and process, as well as signage with directions for patients with access and functional needs. There will be a privacy or sensory booth on site for those who need it. The privacy booth is a place for those with or children with noise or stimulation sensitivities, those needing to change clothes, or for those who prefer more privacy.

The entrance to Esperanza is at 4th and Bristol (4261 N 5th St. Philadelphia, PA 19140). Walk-ups are welcome, but people wishing to receive a vaccine can pre-register beforehand to make the process even quicker. Second shots will be scheduled on-site for May 22nd.
