PHILADELPHIA – The Philadelphia Department of Public Health today announced 399 additional confirmed cases of COVID-19 novel coronavirus in Philadelphia. That brings the number of confirmed cases to 45,981.
The Department of Public Health confirmed 4 additional fatalities in Philadelphia. This brings the number of residents who have succumbed to the virus in Philadelphia to 1,883. Of the 1,883 total deaths, 916 (49%) were long-term care facility residents.
Philatinos Radio COVID-19 Community Conversation: Philatinos Radio on Facebook will be hosting a community conversation in Spanish with the PA Health Law Project, Puentes de Salud, and Community Legal Services on Thursday, November 5, 2020, between 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Listeners will learn about:
- How to protect yourself from Covid-19 and who needs to be tested
- Accessing testing and treatment services if you’re uninsured
- The right to paid sick leave, regardless of your immigration status
Access Centers on Election Day: Thirty-four Access Centers are still closed today, Wednesday, November 4, because these sites served as polling locations. Three days are needed to have time for deep cleaning before and after voting, as well as installation and removal of voting machines. All 34 are expected to reopen on Thursday.
