Digital Equity Plan

In February 2022, the City released a Digital Equity Plan with four main goals. The first three goals are to provide Philadelphians with:

• Access to affordable devices.
• Access to affordable, reliable internet.
• The digital skills for work and life.

The fourth goal creates a solid foundation for addressing the digital divide through programs, policies, and partnerships.

Digital Equity team

The Digital Equity team developed the strategies that support the pillars of the plan. We’ve collaborated with diverse partners to do this work. They’ve included:

• Community members.
• Advocates.
• Local organizations.
• Schools.
• Healthcare institutions.
• Other government programs.

We’re all working together to ensure that every Philadelphian has the digital access they need to thrive.
