2022 projects
The 2022 grant cycle supported scaling up a lead entity to take on device recycling, refurbishing and technical support in Philadelphia. The DLA and the Independence Public Media Foundation funded this cycle. This was a two-year grant cycle and was awarded to a single entity.
PCs for People was awarded a contract from March 2023 to February 2025 to refurbish computers and distribute 200 low-cost computers every month by the end of the grant period.
2021 projects
The 2021 grant cycle supported digital literacy and equity programs for immigrants and Limited English Proficiency (LEP) communities. The DLA and the Independence Public Media Foundation funded this cycle.
One-year grants
Three organizations received one-year funding from March 2021 to March 2022. They include:
- African Cultural Alliance of North America (ACANA)
- Liberty Resources
- Cambodian Association of Greater Philadelphia (CAGP)
Two-year grants
Additionally, four organizations received two-year funding from March 2021 to March 2023. They include:
- Jefferson University and Esperanza Health Center
- Penn Asian Senior Services (PASSI)
- Norris Square Community Alliance
- Philly Community Wireless (PCW)
