Ivy Ridge Trail from Dupont Street to Parker Avenue

Project Status: Design

This project will complete the survey and design of a 10-12′ wide ADA accessible trail within the former Pennsylvania Railroad Schuylkill Branch right-of-way. This former railroad property is located in Manayunk and owned by SEPTA. It extends from Dupont Street, bridging over Leverington Avenue, then continuing to SEPTA’s Ivy Ridge Station near Parker Avenue.

The Ivy Ridge Trail will extend about 3,200 feet from Dupont Street at the west end of the Manayunk Bridge Trail to Parker Avenue at the Ivy Ridge SEPTA Station. The trail will be an ADA accessible trail varying between 10 and 12 feet wide and consistent with Circuit Trails design standards.

This design phase will include site survey, environmental site assessment, a Phase I ESA report, 30% design plans as well as final design and construction cost estimates.

Features:

  • 0.6 mile long ADA-compliant trail varying between 10 and 12 feet wide
  • Connects the Manayunk Bridge Trail to the Ivy Ridge Train Station
  • Provides people walking and biking a dedicated off-street alternative to Umbria Street and a convenient connection over Leverington Avenue.
