48th & Woodland Transportation Safety Study

The City of Philadelphia is coming up with ideas to improve traffic safety in the neighborhood surrounding the 48th & Woodland Rec Center and Playground.  The City team is partnering with residents and community groups to:

  • Make streets safer for everyone
  • Reduce serious traffic injuries and fatalities
  • Create better SEPTA access
  • Make it safer for people walking around the community

The 48th & Woodland Traffic Safety Study will develop recommendations to address traffic safety concerns surrounding the playground in the summer of 2026. This project is funded by the DVRPC’s Transportation and Community Development Initiative (TCDI).
