What we do
The mission of the Office of the City Representative (OCR) is to promote Philadelphia, the nation’s first and most historic World Heritage City. Our office works with event producers to bring events to the City, recognizes extraordinary residents and visiting dignitaries, represents the mayor at events, and works with delegations to promote Philadelphia.
Some of the events we have produced or supported:
- Wawa Welcome America! Festival (July 4)
- Philly Holiday Tree Lighting
- International Cultural Flag Raisings
- Philadelphia International Unity Soccer Cup Festival and Parade of Nations
- The Philadelphia Marathon
- 2016 Villanova University Basketball Championship Parade
We also create and present official City citations, tributes, proclamation, and letters. To request a ceremonial document, download the request form.
