Office of the City Representative

Promoting Philadelphia by producing and highlighting special events across the City.

Office of the City Representative

What we do

The mission of the Office of the City Representative (OCR) is to promote Philadelphia, the nation’s first and most historic World Heritage City. Our office works with event producers to bring events to the City, recognizes extraordinary residents and visiting dignitaries, represents the mayor at events, and works with delegations to promote Philadelphia.

Some of the events we have produced or supported:

  • Wawa Welcome America! Festival (July 4)
  • Philly Holiday Tree Lighting
  • International Cultural Flag Raisings
  • Philadelphia International Unity Cup Festival and Parade of Nations

We also create and present official City citations, tributes, proclamations, and letters.

COVID-19 notice: We are temporarily unable to accommodate any ceremonial document requests while staff are working from home.
