The Public Technology and Innovation Team works to develop a public sector culture that encourages and trains City employees to think and work differently. We also partner with universities to support hiring and research needs.

Innovation Fund
The Innovation Fund is a grant opportunity for City employees. It provides funds for piloting initiatives that improve the services of municipal government. It’s offered in partnership with the Philadelphia City Fund.
Innovation Academy
The Innovation Academy is a professional development opportunity for City employees. It trains employees in the principles of innovation and how to apply those principles to their daily work. It’s offered in partnership with Jefferson University.
Innovation consulting
Our team offers individually tailored and facilitated workshops using the principles of innovation for teams both internal and external to City government.
Innovation Lab
The Innovation Lab provides a space where City employees can collaborate and do innovative work.
