The City of Philadelphia’s Office of Human Resources (OHR) is connecting with job seekers throughout September at career fairs, community events, resource fairs, college campuses, and neighborhood locations.
Residents can meet with OHR staff to learn about current civil service opportunities, ask questions about the hiring process, and get information about applying for City jobs. This month also includes HR Office Hours at Neighborhood Action Centers, City Career Office Hours at Free Library locations, and a Hiring Bus pop-up in Germantown.
Visit HR Office Hours at a Neighborhood Action Center
OHR is continuing its partnership with Philadelphia’s Neighborhood Action Centers to bring City career resources directly into communities.
During HR Office Hours, residents can meet with an HR professional to:
- Review current civil service job opportunities
- Learn how the City’s hiring and application process works
- Get help completing an online application
- Ask questions about qualifications and examinations
- Learn more about City careers and employee benefits
No appointment is required. September sessions are scheduled at Action Centers 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 throughout the month.
Visit the Hiring Bus
The Hiring Bus is OHR’s mobile recruitment center, bringing application support and City career information directly to Philadelphia neighborhoods. The bus is equipped with computers and staffed by HR professionals who can help residents search current openings, learn about the civil service process, and apply for jobs on site.
Community organizations, City departments, elected officials, and event organizers can also request the Hiring Bus for an upcoming career fair, resource fair, or community event. Requests should be submitted in advance and are subject to staff and vehicle availability.
