The City of Philadelphia’s Office of Human Resources (OHR) is expanding access to career resources through a new partnership with the City’s Neighborhood Action Centers (NACs).

Beginning this July, residents can visit HR Office Hours at participating Action Centers to meet one-on-one with OHR recruiters, learn about careers with the City, and receive assistance with the civil service hiring process.

The new HR Office Hours complement OHR’s existing City Career Office Hours at Free Library locations and are part of the City’s ongoing effort to make employment resources more accessible in neighborhoods across Philadelphia.

What are HR Office Hours?

HR Office Hours are free drop-in sessions where residents can speak directly with recruitment professionals from the Office of Human Resources.

During each session, residents can:

  • Learn about careers with the City of Philadelphia
  • Explore current civil service job opportunities
  • Receive assistance creating or updating an application
  • Learn how the civil service hiring process works
  • Ask questions about qualifications, exams, residency preference, and employee benefits

Whether you’re applying for your first City position or exploring a new career path, HR Office Hours provide an opportunity to receive personalized guidance from OHR staff.

About the Neighborhood Action Centers

Neighborhood Action Centers (NACs) connects residents with City programs, services, and resources in neighborhoods across Philadelphia. By bringing HR Office Hours to these locations, OHR is making it easier for residents to access career information and hiring support close to home.
