PHILADELPHIA–The City of Philadelphia announced today that parts of Lincoln Drive and Bells Mill Road will be temporarily closed on two dates in April to accommodate volunteer clean-ups sponsored by the Friends of the Wissahickon.

Lincoln Drive from Wissahickon Avenue to Ridge Avenue will be closed to motor vehicles on Saturday, April 6, from 8 a.m.-1 p.m.

Bells Mill Road from Germantown Avenue to Lykens Lane will be closed to motor vehicles on Saturday, April 20, from 8 a.m.-1 p.m.

Friends of the Wissahickon is an important volunteer group that provides crucial assistance to Philadelphia Parks & Recreation to clean and green areas around Wissahickon Valley Park. Residents interested in volunteering can learn more about the Park Friends Network and also register for a volunteer project during Love Your Park Week, taking place May 11-19, 2024.
