More than 71,000 Philadelphia water customers have switched to AutoPay and are easily managing their water bill payments online. If you haven’t done so already, you can switch today to take full advantage of the key benefits this service offers!
AutoPay helps you avoid late or missed payments by ensuring your bills are paid monthly and on time. For example, you can set up notifications by email or SMS text messaging of upcoming scheduled payments and when they have been taken care of. More importantly, the service personalizes your payment experience by allowing you to opt in and out of recurring payments. It also goes a step further, letting you decide whether to pay all or part of your bill.
What you need
Switching to AutoPay is very easy, but you must first register for a MyPhillyWaterBill username and password to access this online payment service. To do this, you will need your water access code, which you can find at the top right of your water bill. Also, be ready to share your bank account details during the signup process. When you’re all set, go to phila.gov/waterbill and select “Register” to get started.
Completing this registration process unlocks your access to paperless billing, automating your payments, along with viewing and printing up to 13 months of past bills, managing budget billing, accessing usage history, and getting alerts. Best of all, your MyPhillyWaterBill account makes enrolling in AutoPay easy!
Follow these steps to switch to AutoPay:
- Create a username and password, then sign in to your MyPhillyWaterBillaccount,
- Find the “AutoPay” tab on the homepage,
- Add your preferred payment method. This must be a checking or savings account. You can’t use a credit or debit card to set up AutoPay.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to finish the process.
Once you’ve signed up for AutoPay, your ZipCheck enrollment will end automatically. You don’t have to do anything and don’t worry; you won’t miss a payment. If you need help or additional information about AutoPay, please email MyPhillyWaterBillHelp@phila.gov.
