Philadelphia, PA – William Cramp Elementary’s Back-to-School Night wasn’t just any Back-to-School Night.

The Community School celebrated the return of school on Sept. 21 with an informative and fun-filled event that included a giveaway of backpacks and winter jackets, as well as raffled prizes.

While plenty of goodies were offered, the dedicated staff at Cramp underscored the importance of the night’s gathering. They shared their expectations for the year with parents and students, alerting them to important benchmarks, dates, and resources.

Cramp, located at 3449 Mascher St., is one of 20 Philadelphia schools that participate in the Community Schools strategy, which partners the City of Philadelphia, School District of Philadelphia, and surrounding communities together to remove barriers to student learning.

The program provides the school and its community with additional support — from food distribution to attendance case management. The Community School Coordinator at Cramp is William Fewer-Reed, who can be reached at willliam.reed@phila.gov.

Congrats to the Cramp school team on an exceptional evening. May your winning results continue throughout the year!
