Good news for Philly’s Spanish-speaking taxpayers: you can now access the Philadelphia Tax Center in your primary language. The Philadelphia Tax Center is the City’s official tax filing and payment website. It is where you can find, file, and pay all City taxes and fees. The site and its functionalities are now fully accessible en español (in Spanish) as part of the Department of Revenue’s efforts to ensure that its tax information and services are accessible to customers in the language they feel comfortable with.

At the Department of Revenue, we know that some of our water customers and taxpayers don’t speak English as their first language. That’s why language accessibility remains one of our top priorities:

  • We provide interpretation services in 18 languages and publish multi-lingual blogs, social media posts, and online videos.
  • Our language access services at the Municipal Services Building (MSB), our satellite offices, or Call Center can help with over 240 languages. You can ask a representative for language accommodation over the phone or in person when visiting our offices.
  • We translate many of our tax and water forms, applications, flyers, and official notices into multiple languages, including Mandarin, Russian, French, Simplified Chinese, Arabic, and Haitian Creole.

More importantly, our language access services are free to all taxpayers and water customers.

Accessing the Tax Center in Spanish

Accessing the Spanish version of the Philadelphia Tax Center is very easy. Just use the “Ver en Español” blue bar at the top of the website to switch the language from English to SpanishWe’re sharing the steps below:

  • Go to tax-services.phila.gov,
  • Find the light blue bar at the top of the site.
  • Select the “Ver en Español” button. This will instantly switch the website to Spanish.

Taxpayers wishing to communicate with our department in Spanish can switch their language preference once logged into their Philadelphia Tax Center profile. That way, you will receive notices and other communications from us in Spanish. If you don’t wish to create a username and password but want to communicate with us in Spanish, please call us at (215) 686-6600. A customer service representative will look up your account and switch your language preference to Spanish.

Although the Tax Center is entirely in Spanish, not all written communications have been translated. We are working on translating over 200 letters in our portfolio. For help or have questions about language accommodation, please call us at (215) 686-6600.
