According to CDC research, people who were not vaccinated were twice as likely to get COVID and more than five times as likely to end up in the hospital as people who were fully vaccinated. If you could do something that was free, easy, and would reduce your cut your risk of getting COVID in half, and cut your risk of being hospitalized for COVID by 80%, would you do it?

If you haven’t been fully vaccinated, you still have the chance to do exactly that.

Being fully vaccinated is one of the best ways to protect yourself and others from a severe case of COVID. Serious COVID cases can cause you to miss work, have to pay for doctor’s visits and potentially expensive hospital visits, and place an enormous burden on your family and loved ones.

But if that’s STILL not enough reason to get fully vaccinated, here’s another: $100.

Philadelphians who complete their COVID vaccine series at a participating Health Department vaccine clinic will get $100! After they get their shot, they will register to receive their incentive. The $100 can be delivered as a virtual gift card via email or a physical gift card through the mail, delivered right to your home.

The Health Department clinics running this program will NOT have cash or gift cards on-hand for safety reasons.

The virtual gift card will be delivered to your email in one to two days and will come from akimbo_card@akimbocard.com. People who choose to have their gift card mailed will receive it in 10 to 14 days.

This program is only open to Philadelphia residents. City employees are not allowed to participate. Incentives will only be available at select Health Department COVID-19 vaccine clinics and are first come, first served. Up to 20,000 $100 incentives are available. To be eligible to receive an incentive you must receive the dose that makes you fully vaccinated at the time you sign up.

The Health Department vaccine clinics that will be giving away incentives will be listed on the Health Department’s Twitter account in the morning of the clinic, and a full, regularly updated list can be found below.
