On August 3, 2021 Mayor Jim Kenney joined Police Commissioner Outlaw, members of the Philadelphia Police Department, and residents at two of our city’s National Night Out events in West Philadelphia with the 19th Police District and North Philadelphia with the 39th Police District.

National Night Out highlights the importance of strengthening relationships between our communities and police, so we can all work together to stop the violence and create a safer Philadelphia for everyone.

The community came out and met with local officers, learned about resources available to them, and enjoyed musical performances, guest speakers, youth activities, and giveaways.

“Community engagement is a pivotal part of the work of the Philadelphia Police Department. National Night Out helps ensure Philadelphians have an opportunity to connect with our police officers and establish meaningful relationships so they can do their jobs to the best of their ability and keep you safe.” – Mayor Jim Kenney
