May is Mental Health Awareness Month. This year, the City of Philadelphia and Independence Blue Cross are part of the national movement to raise awareness about mental health, fight the stigma around mental health, and provide support for people with mental health challenges and their families.
If you’re experiencing anxious thoughts or overwhelming sadness right now, you are not alone. Challenging times have forced many of us to recognize that we need to take care of our mental and emotional health.
Now more than ever, it’s important to know that help is out there. There are plenty of free, easy-to-access resources available to anyone who may be struggling with their mental health.
Remember, if you are experiencing a mental health emergency, contact the 24/7 Crisis Hotline at 215-685-6440.
This Mental Health Awareness Month, commit to checking in—with yourself, your friends, and your family. We all need to look out for each other. Learn more at the link below.
