What: Pop-up food pantry
When: Every Tuesday, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: Martha Washington School, 766 N 44th St, 19104
Stop by for free, healthy groceries! Alain Locke School’s pop-up food pantry is moving to Martha Washington School for the summer. This pantry is run by the People’s Emergency Center and features perishable and nonperishable food. Drexel’s Eat Right Philly program hosts cooking demonstrations.
What: Fresh For All
When: Every Wednesday, 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Where: Murrell Dobbins High School , 2150 W Lehigh Ave, 19132
Stop by Fresh For All and pick up free, fresh fruits and vegetables. This weekly produce stand is operated by Philabundance and held in front of the school, weather permitting.

What: Pop-up children’s reading events
When: July 1 and July 11, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Where: LOVE Park
Looking for something to do with your kids mid-day? Come celebrate literacy in LOVE Park with the Philly Reading Coaches! Join us on July 1 and July 11, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., for pop-up children’s reading events. There will be a pop-up reading booth, a children’s reading area, and a book giveaway! You can also learn more about Philly Reading Coach volunteer opportunities across the city.

Stop by and shop for fruits and vegetables at this affordable farm stand provided by the Share Food Program. Cash, credit, and EBT/SNAP benefits are accepted.
What: Early childhood education (ECE) job fair
When: Friday, July 12, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Where: The School District of Philadelphia, 440 North Broad St, 19130
Bring copies of your resume and explore career opportunities in early childhood education (ECE) at a free job fair! The School District of Philadelphia Child Care Partners and PHLpreK programs are hiring. Registration is encouraged but not required.
What: Fresh food distribution
When: Monday, July 15, 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Where: Logan Elementary School, 1700 Lindley Ave, 19141
Pick up free, fresh fruits and vegetables provided by Philabundance. This event will be held outside of the school, weather permitting.
What: Summer Garden party
When: Wednesday, July 17, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Where: Kensington Health Science Academy, 2463 Emerald St, Philadelphia, 19125
Join the Summer Garden party and check out Kensington Health Science Academy’s new outdoor space! Enjoy food and outdoor games, and learn more about next school year’s events and resources.

Happening all summer
What: PHLpreK enrollment
When: Now
Where: PHLpreK locations across the city
Enrollment in the City’s free, quality pre-K program is now underway, and seats are filling up fast!
All children who will be 3 or 4 by September 1 are eligible. There are no income requirements for participation in this pre-K program. Families can enroll at one of over 140 participating locations.

Have you heard? Free summer meals are available at hundreds of sites across the city. No child should go hungry in the summer when school meals aren’t an option. That’s why from June to August, children up to 18 years old can eat free and nutritious meals at locations right in their neighborhood!
