To apply in person, please visit the Employment Application Center on the Concourse Level of the Municipal Services Building, 1401 J.F. Kennedy Boulevard in Center City Philadelphia. The application fee will be required at the time of application.
This application fee may be waived for individuals who demonstrate an inability to pay because of certain types of financial need.

A School Crossing Guard directs and controls the movement of school children at an assigned intersection
Work is part-time throughout the school term, often in inclement weather.
Hours: approximately one hour in the morning, two at noon, one in the afternoon.

PROJECTED EXAMINATION SCHEDULE
The written multiple-choice examination is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, July 16, 2005.
U.S. VETERAN’S PREFERENCE NOTE
Ten points for veteran’s preference will be added to the scores of eligible veterans who apply for open competitive tests and pass the examination (for concurrent examinations, this applies only to applicants who are not currently employed by the City in a civil service position). You must be honorably discharged from the U.S. armed forces. Attach a DD214, member 4, to your application if you wish your eligibility to be reviewed. Spouses of disabled or deceased veterans may also be considered.
The Eligible List will last for two years and be established in August, 2005. All candidates will be notified of their results by mail./p>
