Philadelphia Parks & Recreation owns and operates 70 outdoor pools during the summer months. Our department also employs staff at four School District of Philadelphia pools, along with our very own indoor pool for people with disabilities, on a year-round basis.

The swimming pools allow free access to any individual during operating hours. Operating hours are during the summer, Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 12 p.m. until 5 p.m. Individual schedules may vary. Please contact a pool of your choice for programming hours or schedules.

The swimming pools offer swimming lessons, family swim, lifeguard training and swimming for all ages. Additionally, each summer our department hires 800 seasonal workers to provide aquatics services to all Philadelphia residents. You can find aquatics programming in our Find a Facility application.
