Philadelphia Parks & Recreation has developed an award-winning sign program which seeks to uniformly brand all PPR resources with sign standards throughout the park system.
These standards, the “Signage & Interpretive System Design Guidelines Manual,” include identification, directional, and interpretive signs and maps. Approved by the Philadelphia Art Commission as the Department standard, these guidelines provide a flexible ‘menu’ of signs which may be programmed for a variety of uses.
PPR has plans to install new signs at parks and recreation facilities across the city.
