Trash, recycling & city upkeep

Find a sanitation convenience center to drop off trash or recycling

If you live in Philadelphia, you can drop off oversized trash, yard waste, recycling, and other items at six sanitation convenience centers around the city.

Where and when

You can find sanitation convenience centers using the recycling and donations finder.

Sanitation convenience centers are open Monday through Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Visitors must wear a protective mask to minimize the spread of COVID-19.

Residents can drop off regular household items once a day and oversized items once a week. You need to present proof that you live in Philadelphia in order to use the centers.

Residents can use personal or commercial vehicles, but they must have a total vehicle weight of less than 6,000 pounds.

Construction debris is not accepted at the sanitation convenience centers. You can take construction materials to a private facility for a fee.

Commercial contractors and vehicles carrying commercial loads cannot use the facilities.
