VISTA leaders serve full-time for one year supporting the Serve Philadelphia VISTA Program. Before you apply, review the benefits and requirements of becoming a VISTA leader.

Who should apply

Serve Philadelphia VISTA positions are entry-level, meaning that there are opportunities for growth within the role. We encourage all to apply, even and especially if you feel “underqualified.”

Studies have shown that marginalized communities—including women, LGBTQ+ people, and people of color—are less likely to apply to positions unless they meet every listed qualification. However, we deem all experience as relevant, and we encourage marginalized applicants from non-traditional career paths to consider applying.
