PHILADELPHIA – On Thursday, June 29, Mayor Kenney will attend a meeting of over 55 community and provider organizations involved in the City’s first cohort of Community Schools, where the Mayor’s Office of Education and School District of Philadelphia will review the highlights of the Community School initiative’s first year and future plans.
Mayor Kenney will acknowledge the valuable contributions of many nonprofits, community organizations, universities, hospitals, businesses, and school community members to the Community Schools initiative, which provides targeted social supports to nine city-designated public schools and their surrounding communities.
