Media Advisory – City Hall Courtyard to Combine Culture in the Courtyard performances and the Parks on Tap Traveling Beer Garden on August 18

WHEN:  Thursday, August 18, Performance at 5:30PM – 6:30PM, Beer Garden Open 4-9PM

WHERE: Philadelphia City Hall Courtyard

Speakers include: Chief Cultural Officer Kelly Lee

WHAT:  City Hall’s courtyard will be transformed into a festive beer garden and a special evening Culture in the Courtyard performance will be held on Thursday, August 18. PHL Live Center Stage winners Jah People will perform reggae classics and “reggae-fied” funk, rock, and soul standards for their Culture in the Courtyard performance on August 18.

Two of these evenings will be held and will bring together the Culture in the Courtyard City Hall performance series, an initiative launched by the Office of Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy’s and the Parks on Tap traveling beer garden, a partnership between Philadelphia Parks & Recreation, Fairmount Park Conservancy and Avram Hornik of FCM Hospitality.

Television crews and photographers are invited to cover the event.

DIRECTIONS: Please go to the City Hall Courtyard, which can be accessed through any of the portal corridors at City Hall. The performance will be held outdoors.
