Philadelphia, birthplace of our nation, is set to make history again as the Democratic presidential nominee will be formally nominated during the Democratic National Convention, July 25th though the 28th.

Events on city streets, within its structures, restaurants, and museums, will give the public a chance to be part of this momentous event in American democracy.

To be aware of events surrounding the DNC, the Office of Emergency Management is encouraging people to sign up for the City’s mass notification system, ReadyPhiladelphia.

A ReadyDNC Daily Digest will be published through ReadyPhiladelphia. It will include information on; weather, traffic, public safety, public gathering and marches, DNC related public events, and visitor information such as #DNCdeals for drink, food, attraction, and retail specials.

ReadyPhiladelphia allows us to bring you important information such as weather alerts from the National Weather service, mass transit delays and service interruption information from SEPTA. We send you public safety information from Philadelphia Police, Philadelphia Fire, Philadelphia Prisons, PES Refinery, and the Office of Emergency Management. You get information from the source direct to you through text and email alerts.
