Ethics Board Settlement Agreements - 11/21/2019

The Board of Ethics has approved four Settlement Agreements:

District 1199C PAC and Salima Pace: Resolving a violation of the City's Campaign Finance Law for the late filing of a campaign finance report with the Board.

Friends of Maria and Peter Winebrake: Resolving a violation of the City's Campaign Finance Law for failing to disclose thirteen contributions in 24 hour reports filed with the Board.

Hon. Curtis Jones, Jr. and Friends of Curtis Jones, Jr.: Resolving a violation of the City's Campaign Finance Law for accepting an excess contribution of $1000.

Rodney Hill: Resolving a violation of the Home Rule Charter's political activity restriction on coordinating with a candidate for public elective office by circulating nominating petitions in coordination with a City Council candidate attempting to get on the 2019 General Election ballot.

Campaign Finance Training - Sep/Oct 2019

Philadelphia's Board of Ethics and City Commissioners are pleased to jointly offer campaign finance training covering the basic requirements of the State Election Code and Philadelphia's Campaign Finance Law. The training will also cover the nuts and bolts of how to electronically file campaign finance reports with the Board and City Commissioners.

Training will be held on the following dates:
September 12, 2019 @ 12:00PM
October 2, 2019 @ 5:00PM
October 10, 2019 @ 12:00PM

Training on How to Use Philadelphia's New Campaign Finance System

The Board of Ethics and Office of City Commissioners are hosting trainings on how to use the City's New Campaign Finance Filing System on the following dates:

- Tues., March 19, 2019, 12:00PM @ Board of Ethics
- Sat., March 23, 2019, 12:00PM @ West Philadelphia High School
- Thurs., March 28, 2019 3:00PM @ Office of City Commissioners
- Sat., April 6, 2019, 12:00PM @ Archbishop Ryan High School

In addition, we will have two walk-in sessions @ Board of Ethics where staff will be available to answer questions and assist in setting up a new account.

The Board of Ethics has approved three Settlement Agreements:

Lawrence Krasner for District Attorney: Resolving violations of the City's Campaign Finance Law for accepting excess in-kind contributions from Real Justice PAC and for failing to disclose those contributions in campaign finance reports filed with the Board.

Real Justice PAC: Resolving violations of the City's Campaign Finance Law for making excess in-kind contributions to Lawrence Krasner for District Attorney and for failing to properly disclose those contributions in campaign finance reports filed with the Board.

Philadelphia Association of Community Development Corporations: Resolving violations of the Philadelphia Lobbying Law for (1) failure to register as a principal and (2) failure to timely file an expense report.
