Request for Proposals – PHL: Most Diverse Tech Hub

The City of Philadelphia is requesting proposals from local organizations to broaden access to resources, partnerships and opportunities within the tech industry. Philadelphia’s diversity is one of our city’s best assets, and while we are especially proud of our diverse tech sector, we also know that we need to and can continue to grow with equity. Technology is a key element of our economic future.
To position Philadelphia as a more diverse tech hub, the Department of Commerce intends to invest in programs and ideas that grow technology skills for future talent (adolescents and adults), match Black and brown students to local tech companies, build longstanding diverse partnerships between local colleges/universities and local tech/tech-enabled companies, broaden access to the tech industry, bring together tech employers to form a more diverse tech sector, and perform an industry study to determine gaps in the ecosystem and create specific next steps to propel our city to a top 10 Tech ecosystem within the next 5 years.

Applicants should submit a letter of intent to talent.development@phila.gov by 5pm on February 16th, 2024. All proposals should be submitted to talent.development@phila.gov by 5pm on March 1st, 2024
