Environmental Justice Mapping Tool and Resource Hub engagement reports

The Office of Sustainability (OOS) is working with the Academy of Natural Sciences (ANS) of Drexel University to develop an Environmental Justice Mapping Tool and Resource Hub (EJ Tool). The EJ Tool will be a public online map for Philadelphia that visualizes key environmental, health, and demographic data, and links users to resources and information about their neighborhoods.

In 2024, OOS and ANS engaged residents, environmental justice organizations, and City departments to inform the EJ Tool’s content and design. Hinge Collective and community educator and researcher Kermit O supported ANS’ efforts. The reports offer an overview of the project and a summary of input from residents and organizations collected through workshops and interviews.
