Office of Youth Engagement

Learning from young people and building a new generation of leaders.

Office of Youth Engagement

What we do

As part of the Mayor’s Office of Public Engagement, The Office of Youth Engagement (OYE) knows that young people have important ideas about how to make the City a better place to live.

Our programs include:

  • Philadelphia Youth Commission
  • Mayor’s Millennial Advisory Committee
  • Fun Safe Philly Summer

The Youth Commission and Millennial Advisory Committee develop leadership skills, bridge generations, and allow younger people the chance to offer thoughts about how government can better serve its residents.

Fun Safe Philly Summer:

  • Connects youth to seasonal programs and employment.
  • Helps coordinate summer meals for young people.
  • Lends books for summer reading.
