    On May 2nd, 2025 5pm-11pm, the inaugural Eraserhood Fest will kick off during Philly’s First Friday, bringing together locals and visitors for an immersive celebration of the history, culture, and community of one of Philadelphia’s most iconic neighborhoods — Eraserhood (also known as Callowhill or the Loft District).

    Centered around the theme of Circles of Support, the Walk MS® experience emphasizes the people and organizations that help improve a person’s life with MS. At the same time, we move together toward a world free of MS. Everyone at Walk MS plays a powerful role in the MS community, whether you live with MS or care about someone who does. 

    Walk MS: Philadelphia Event Schedule for 2025

    7:30 A.M. – Participants can access the grounds and visit sponsors, enjoy a breakfast-themed snack and commemorate the day with a photo.

    8:15 A.M. – the Official Ceremony begins and includes an interactive component for participants.

    8:30 A.M. – Participants start walking on the site’s supported and accessible routes, featuring a Hydration Station with water.

    11:00 A.M. – Start Line and routes close.

    11:30 A.M. – Walk MS event is completed.

    Lace up your running shoes and hit the pavement to celebrate the 32nd anniversary of the University City 5K. The race will be held during Alumni Weekend 2025, and runners of all skill levels are welcome to participate by walking, jogging or running the route. The run, dedicated to honoring the memory of Nick Pipino, will consist of two loops around Powelton Village.

    Each year, the upscale warm-weather event attracts over 50,000 festivalgoers, highlighting the neighborhood’s reputation as a top food and culture hotspot. The fest typically features live music, family-friendly activities and dozens of booths on Walnut Street offering locally made goods, specialty cocktails and delicious bites.

    South Street’s massive annual festival is back with a brand-new name. Taking place at the height of springtime bliss, South Street Live! spans nine blocks of South Street, filling the corridor with live entertainment, immersive art, family-friendly fun, local vendors, food, drinks and more.

    Festival highlights include a maypole, face painting and flower crowns at Brauhaus Schmitz’s Maifest (below); a Fantasy Renn Faire at Queen & Rook, complete with swordplay and fire dancing; cosplaying, free comics and art at a Free Comic Book Day celebration; and more.

    The Independence Blue Cross Broad Street Run course is a 10-mile, point-to-point course through the varied neighborhoods of Philadelphia along Broad Street.

    On Sunday, May 4, athletes will run down the heart of Philadelphia through diverse communities and neighborhoods, while excited spectators cheer from the sidelines. It’s the largest, fastest, and most popular 10-mile race in the country drawing more than 40,000 participants from all over the world. This year’s race begins at 7 a.m. and finishes in the Navy Yard.
