Great news! The Department of Commerce selected the following four local tax professionals to provide financial education and empowerment workshops for small businesses across the city through June 30, 2027:

The workshops provided by these tax professionals are to equip business owners and 1099 workers with the practical knowledge and tools to:

  • Improve financial literacy and decision-making
  • Understand tax obligations and planning strategies
  • Strengthen business operations and long-term growth

Workshop topics include financial management best practices, basic bookkeeping, tax compliance, and business sustainability. Some workshops hosted by ASCEND Equity Access and M. Claudio Enterprise are also in Spanish.

The Philadelphia Free Business Tax Preparation program offers free business tax preparation assistance —local, state, and federal—to small businesses earning less than $250,000 in revenue. Services are available both virtually and in person through selected tax professionals across the city who speak multiple languages.
