Tired of having to remember to pay your water bill manually each month? Keeping track of your upcoming bills doesn’t have to be stressful. Philadelphia water customers with MyPhillyWaterBill accounts can automate bill payments to save time and avoid missing payments. You, too, can take advantage of AutoPay today to enjoy greater flexibility and peace of mind. We’re sharing additional benefits of AutoPay below:

Why AutoPay?

MyPhillyWaterBill is Philadelphia’s water bill payment website. Its AutoPay feature helps customers avoid late or missed payments by ensuring bills are paid monthly and on time. Your payments are automatically deducted from your preferred payment method, such as a checking or savings account, every month without additional action from you. You only have to ensure that you have enough money in your account to cover what’s due when the bill amounts are debited.

With AutoPay, you can set up email and SMS text notifications to remind you when payments are due and when they’ve been completed. Moreover, you can opt in or out of recurring payments at any time, allowing you to customize or personalize your payment experience. The best part? You can choose to pay an entire bill or just part of it.

How to enroll?

AutoPay is easy to set up. You can access the feature through your MyPhillyWaterBill account. Customers who haven’t already created an account must first register for a MyPhillyWaterBill username and password to access AutoPay. You’ll need your water access code, which can be found at the top right corner of your water bill. You should also be ready to share your bank account details during the signup process.

When you’re all set, head to phila.gov/waterbill, select “Register,” and follow the prompts. Completing this registration unlocks your access to paperless billing, automating your payments, viewing and printing up to 13 months of past bills, accessing usage history, and getting alerts.

Follow these steps to enroll in AutoPay:

  1. Sign in to your MyPhillyWaterBillaccount,
  2. Find the “AutoPay” tab on the homepage,
  3. Add your preferred payment method. This must be a checking or savings account. You can’t use a credit or debit card to set up AutoPay. Follow the prompts to complete the process.

Once you’ve signed up for AutoPay, your ZipCheck enrollment will end automatically. You don’t have to do anything; don’t worry, you won’t miss a payment. If you need help or additional information about AutoPay, please email MyPhillyWaterBillHelp@phila.gov.
