DID YOU KNOW?

We offer tree delivery and planting help!

No car or ride to the event? No problem, we deliver! This option is only offered to residents who do not have access to a vehicle to transport a tree. If you can’t come to an event due to a scheduling issue, we’d love to see you in the spring instead!

We can also assist with planting.

Residents who are not physically able to plant their tree can receive help. Planting a tree involves:

  • Lifting a 20 lb. pot (about the weight of a toddler).
  • Digging a hole about the size of a 5-gallon bucket.
  • Kneeling over to fill the hole by hand.

There are new tree limits.

There is an all-time limit of six free trees per planting address. This allows everyone a chance to take part and plant trees.

If you are looking for more trees for a special project such as an orchard, community space or woodland restoration, please contact TreePhilly.

The giveaway program is a partnership among:

  • Philadelphia Parks & Recreation’s TreePhilly program
  • Fairmount Park Conservancy
  • TD Bank (event sponsor).

TreePhilly is an urban forestry program of Philadelphia Parks & Recreation and Fairmount Park Conservancy. It helps the people of Philadelphia plant and care for trees.
