The Philadelphia Commission for Women and No More Secrets MBS Inc. are collaborating on Thursday, May 25 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. to commemorate National Menstrual Hygiene Day and help end period poverty in Philadelphia.

The event will focus on raising awareness about menstrual hygiene as a basic human right and advocating for free access to menstrual hygiene products in schools and city-owned public restrooms.

Attendees will have the opportunity to listen to dynamic speakers who have been instrumental in the menstrual hygiene advocacy movement and have an opportunity to access free menstrual hygiene products.

Ending Period Poverty

We believe that immediate support is crucial in breaking down barriers and promoting menstrual equity. By ensuring access to these essential items, we can empower women and girls to live their lives without limitations and create a community where no woman or girl has to face the challenges of period poverty alone.

Together, we can break the silence, uplift our community, and make menstrual hygiene a priority for the City of Philadelphia and beyond.
