Philadelphia Parks & Recreation has announced that effective, December 1, 2022 through March 31, 2023, the Wissahickon Valley, West Fairmount Park, East Fairmount Park, Cobbs Creek Park, FDR Park, Bartram’s Gardens, Tacony Creek Park, and Pennypack Park areas of the park system will be closed daily from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

All trails, parking lots, and other areas in these parks will be closed to all pedestrian, bicycle, equestrian, and vehicular traffic. The expanded closing hours are being implemented to ensure public safety as deer control activities are being conducted in these parks.
