PHILADELPHIA – The Streets Department will be resurfacing several streets in Center City on Saturday, September 17th from 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., announced Streets Commissioner Carlton Williams. The streets that will be resurfaced are:

• 21^st Street between Chestnut and Market Streets
• 19^th Street between Chestnut and Walnut Streets
• Ranstead Street between 15^th and 16^th Streets

In addition to the aforementioned Center City Streets, 60^th Street from Chester to Kingsessing is scheduled for paving overnight.  

This work will require temporary full street closures to allow crews to safely perform their work. Motorists are encouraged utilize alternative routes and allow for extra time while in the area. No detour will be posted.  The Streets Department will be coordinating with SEPTA for this detour. This work is being performed overnight to minimize interruptions to residents and businesses in the area. The Streets Department thanks residents in advance for their patience and cooperation during this project.
