Julian Jordan was born in Philadelphia and spent his formative years in Voorhees, NJ. He retains only the fondest Philly memories – watching Flyers games from the nosebleeds, savoring breakfast pretzels from Miller’s Twist at Reading Terminal, and zipping along the Schuylkill River Trail on his Super73. Julian believes that everyone’s superpower is their right to vote.

Julian studied Real Estate Management & Development and Entrepreneurship & Innovation at Drexel University. As a student, he was selected to the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) Accreditation Committee for Drexel. Towards the end of his time at Drexel, Julian ran for New Jersey State Assembly in the 6th Legislative District. He’s often sought out ways to stay civically engaged, whether it be his time working for the Pennsylvania Legislative Black Caucus in Harrisburg, the Dornsife Center Advisory Council at the Dornsife Center for Neighborhood Partnerships at Drexel University, or serving on the Drexel University Anti-Racism Task Force following the murder of George Floyd in 2020.

Julian joins the Police Advisory Commission (PAC) as their Community Outreach and Constituent Services Specialist and is most eager to develop programs that re-engineer and strengthen the Philadelphia Police Department’s relationship with the Philadelphia community at large. Julian looks forward to forging new relationships with community organizers, activists, and leaders whose individual and collective visions will ultimately enable the Police Advisory Commission to live up to and create impact beyond its own mission.

If you have ideas or suggestions to help the PAC engage further with our constituents, please reach out to Julian directly by emailing PAC@phila.gov.
