PHILADELPHIA – The Streets Department will be line striping Adams Avenue from Roosevelt Blvd. to Castor Ave on Saturday, September 11th from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. announced Streets Commissioner Carlton Williams.  Work is dependent upon the weather.

This line striping process will require intermittent full closures to allow crews to safely perform their work.  Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes and to allow extra time when traveling around the work areas. No detour will be posted. The Streets Department will be coordinating with SEPTA for impacted routes. Work completed sooner than expected will result in the full opening of Adams ahead of schedule.

Residents should not park vehicles on work sites where temporary “No Parking” signs are posted to avoid vehicles being towed.  In the event a car is towed, please contact the local Police District to determine its location.  For the duration of the work, Streets Department crews will make every effort to minimize the inconvenience to residents and businesses along Adams Avenue.  The Streets Department thanks residents in advance for their patience and cooperation during this project.
