The School District of Philadelphia’s schools will be closed for Spring Break March 29 – April 1. Because of this Spring Break, the regular schedule for many student meal distributions will change.

Please read on for updates about schedule changes, temporary site closures, meal sites open during spring break, and special food sites that will be also open during the break.

Student Meal Sites

The School District of Philadelphia will be closed for its usual Friday food distribution on Friday, April 2.

Student meal sites will resume to normal distribution on Friday, April 9, 2021. 

Families are encouraged to use food sites and food pantries during the spring break. Find a site and confirm its schedule by calling 311 or visiting


Food Sites

Many food sites listed on will remain open for food distribution between March 29 – April 1. Families can confirm locations and schedules by visiting Families can also find a food location from this list of additional sites. 

Food sites are hosted by Share Food Program and Philabundance.

Any resident is eligible. Some sites may require ID; call ahead to find out.


Outdoor Meal Sites

The following outdoor meal sites will remain open for meal distribution between March 29 – April. Any resident is eligible to visit an outdoor meal site. No ID or proof of income is required. One meal per resident.
